Yes, I will make sure that next weeks is given its due. Maybe wake up RoboWT Conductor? Still, it will be an excuse to cloud over the real issues that the majority R&F JW's (90% ?) are just a**holes that expect others to turn the other cheek (because thats the christian thing to do) when they treat ones with a sneering disdain. Should be fun!

Yesterday's WT

it was horrible to hear the audience comments...calling 'worldly people' everything from 'they are unkind and mean' to them being 'hateful and unneighborly'.
i sat there and thought about how this 'us vs. them' mentality is the very thing that is contributing to the divisive and separatist world we live in.

I choose to focus on Par 8 where it spoke of Peaceableness & Restraint. If you are going to be a peacemaker in the cong. then it behooves one to be a person of restrian - especially with ones tongue. Partial Distinctions and Hypocrisy abound amongst the R&F - nothing close to what I have found amongst my "aquaintences" out in the "world". I tell you that the meansprittedness of many makes it dam hard to be peaceable with them.
I am also shocked how many don't study anymore. Even with my doubts I can still get a good comment in that can be taken both ways without raising the enybrows of the BOE. Default comments to how good we are, local expreinces that are heavily embelished along the lines of a call in the territory giving a great donation because I turned the other cheek when she told me to "f**k off. Add to that a sister who went on about how she stands up to her unbelieving husband, how he has s**tty things to say about witnesses - LOL - she screwed with him, got DF'd, reinstated and now she comes off all self righteous!
Honestly, the defult RoboWT Conductor is no better. Watches the clock to wish he was home rather than keep the thing moving along. He just does not seem to get the study - it was not all about being peaceable with so called householders, but from the tone of the comments you would think it was anything but. I could have answered that "a householder picked their nose an flicked it at me but i was able to duck due to the HS and the wind caught it and blew it right back at him, making him feel fearful and asking for an immediate study and apologizing profusely" and I would have got "Good Comment, "Thank you for sharing that with us", "good application of the study material" - gag.

Ditto WhiteDove: 2009: 1 newly baptized publisher = 5,100hrs. At an average of about 20hrs per month that still equals about 20 years!!. Given, the fact that most of the baptized are "born ins" that is a dissmal way of seeking converts. No wonder the R&F are fighting apathy, dissultionment and an eagerness to hit coffee shops and Saturday mornings.

today many researching the net will first gravitate to wikipedia because it simply provides a reasonable unbiased viewpoint and when it is in contention, moderators will simply encourage more evidence to be submitted to support arguments.
as i support and add to many wikipedia sites - as long as there is evidenced based quotations (which is encouraged by wikipedia moderators) there are no questions.

As I support and add to many Wikipedia sites - as long as there is evidenced based quotations (which is encouraged by wikipedia moderators) there are no questions. log in can be ananoymous - it is just the statements have to be accurate.
Given the wealth of reserach into subjects such as 1914, 1975 annointed, etc - statements could be made and supporting documentation provided as quotations. This is particularly important as many of you have WT's that are no longer available on the CD. i really enjoyed all the "1975" run up articles for example.
For example I read with interest the following when discussing the GB: "In practice it (GB) seeks neither advice nor approval from any "anointed" Witnesses other than high-ranking members at Brooklyn Bethel when formulating policy and doctrines or when producing material for publications and conventions" This is powerful, but imagine it backed up by a reference to their own WT?

Should be getting near the time we find out about the number of partakers. My guess is that it has to be over the 2008 number. If it was less than 2008 number I am sure we would have had it announced in a KM or something. Eagerly awaiting!!

Big fan of Tangerine Dream too - I recall the same stupidity while I was studying over Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells. I could not believe the hogwash they are fed: Mike Oldfield did not write Tubular Bells with the Exorcist in mind - William Friedkin bought the rights to the music for his movie. So while the composition is featured in the Exorcist, one cannot say it is demonic. Add to this Hotel California - nothing about devil worship; or how about my best one - "lay Lady Lay" by Bob Dylan. Some bonehead told me it was a song about fornication and should not be part of my collection - the song is actually about Dylan's pet as a child and what a pet meant to him - Lady was a dog. Oh the fun over the years with trying to explain songs. Also, John Lennons Imagine. Then there was the backward masking era - Stairway to Heaven - LOL there. I showed how you could play most Kingdom songs in reverse and get anything you want out of it - actually, they sounded better and the sibliminal messages do need backwards masking. I never got rid of anything because I was never bothered by it.

Unconditional love is a term that means to love someone regardless of one's actions or beliefs. It is only when you face a crisis as a JW (where one's actions or belief's come into play) do you really learn where your true friends lie. Most are good at showing lots of love when you face adversity - loss of a loved one, home or economic reversals. Endless casseroles, invites are the norm. However, this is not something unique to JW's - basic human compassion kicks in regardless of ones religious belief or affiliation - so this should not be a stretch for most JW. The real challenge for JW is when it involves your actions or beliefs.
Having gone through such a crisis that involved meddling elders (misapplication of Lev 5:1), gossip that was really slander, CO/DO involvement that was based on biased comments from two jealous elders - one power tripping for my position of COBOE, the other just simply jealous - I had enough. While I was urged not to step aside I had simply reached the point where I had enough. I was always one of those elders that seriously took the assignment as a priveledge not a right of passage as a JW male. It is these ones that are a particular target of the narrow minded, powertripping and selfish. Then the rumours started as to why I step aside, family was hurt by yet more gossip = slander - usual comments about well people will always talk and we need to suck it up. Being told to be the bigger person and overlook imperfection, which left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
So with all of this - out of over 130 people who supposedly "unconditionally" love you, are prepared to sacrifice their life for you and have love amongst themselves a mere handful called - of the BOE - 2 - 3 have take some tacit interest. Yet, workmates, aquaintances, and non-JW family never stopped enquiring or offering help when they heard of our family crisis - total unconditional love from the very ones the WT tells me that have no love or are uncaring, unloving and selfish individuals. What an eye-opener.
